I kept telling my doctor that something wasn't right. But she would blow me off by saying she couldn't find anything wrong. She never ran any tests on me.

My foot swelled so bad that all I could wear on that foot was an open-toed bedroom slipper. But by now, I was waking up in the mornings to my heart, pounding out of my chest. I would have to sit awhile and let my heart calm down before getting up.

It was about a year into my exhibiting these symptoms that my husband and daughter in law insisted that I go to the ER. So I finally gave in and went.
